LDE 2017

Dear Lebanese, Dear Descendants,
Here we are, together for the fourth year, preparing for the Lebanese Diaspora Energy 2017 to witness a new Lebanon, a new Phoenix rising from the ashes youthfully, full of energy, determination and hope.
As I promised you, you were always our priority and the everlasting source of richness and pride. The journey of your success that we are celebrating continues to flourish, yet our efforts to engage you in Lebanon's future is being enhanced and followed thoroughly in order to fulfill and accomplish our governments obligations towards you.
With the elections of a new President of the Republic and the set of a new government, we offer you a startup plan for development and a strong back up of stability while other resources are awaited to be explored.
After three successful major LDEs in Beirut, and three regional LDEs held in New York, Sao Paolo and Johannesburg; the bet is more secured that your participation is worthy to deliver a strong message that we are united and engaged to build a nation crowned by Lebanity and vested by achievements, excellence and creations, where there are no boundaries to our dreams and where Lebanon can be seen again as a sovereign, free, and independent country: a final homeland for all its citizens.
I look forward to seeing each and every one of you in Beirut in May 2017!
Long live Lebanity
Long live Lebanon
Following the same footsteps as previous editions of Lebanon Diaspora Energy Conferences, the 4th edition of LDE will endeavor to further strengthen ties between Lebanese across the world. This year, Lebanon will be portrayed as the beating heart that pumps the blood of life to the entire world; the successful Lebanese Diaspora. On May 4, 5 and 6, 2017 and under the High Patronage of the President of the Lebanese Republic General Michel Aoun, H E Minister Gebran Bassil invites Lebanese across the world to find their way back home again, bearing success stories, initiatives and a lot of love to share with their fellow countrymen. This high-caliber yearly event has become known internationally especially that many regionals were held in cities across the world mainly in New York, Sao Paulo and Johannesburg.
The Lebanese Diaspora Energy (LDE) is an initiative launched by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants in 2014 under the tenure of Minister Gebran Bassil. The Lebanese Diaspora Energy works to accomplish many goals and objectives.

The first objective is to celebrate the Diaspora's success stories throughout their journey in different countries.

The second objective is to promote the Lebanese heritage by spreading Lebanese culture, traditions and vision throughout the world.

The third objective is to establish connections between the diaspora and the residents, thus providing a chance to share experiences, enhance relations, and ablish business and social connections.

The fourth objective is to explore new possibilities and opportunities, where together, Lebanese residents and expatriates can restore the image of Lebanon and the world's trust in the economy of the country.
  • The inaugural Lebanese Diaspora Energy (LDE) edition took place from May 30 till June 1, 2014 and was attended by more than 500 invitees from different parts of the world.
  • The second edition of LDE was held from May 21 till May 23, 2015 attracting more than 1,300 attendees from 73 countries. "We Are Lebanon" was the core theme and message of LDE 2015.
  • LDE's 3rd edition, attended by more than 2,000 people, was held on May 5, 6, and 7, 2016 and focused on investment opportunities in various regions and celebrated the achievements of numerous projects by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants.
In addition, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants held three regional LDE Conferences in locations where the Lebanese Diaspora is mainly concentrated: North America, Latin America and Africa.
